Vietnam Nullifies Regulations on the Use of Azo Dyes and Formaldehyde in Textiles
Effective November 26, 2016, Circular No.23/2016/TT-BCT has nullified Circular No.37/2015/TT-BCT, which stipulated content limits and testing procedures for formaldehyde and banned cleavable aromatic amines from azo dyes in textile products.
For stakeholders, these changes mean textile products sold in the local Vietnamese market will no longer be subject to these requirements.
