(openPR) - Aarau/Switzerland – 27.02.2008 – Since three years Aare-Tessin Ldt. for Electricity (Atel) uses the digital asset management solution Picturepark in house on a dedicated server. Now, the migration from the in-house server to the Saas (Software as a Service) platform is carried out. Use of Picturepark remains unchanged for Atel, but now Vision-IT is responsible for maintenance and hosting of the software.
Vision-IT provides first-class quality service as developer of Picturepark and as asp hosting provider. Atel profits of a permanent and automatic update-process. Just now in regard to the new version 6.0 of Picturepark, SaaS-customers can access the new user interface earlier than customers running Picturepark on a dedicated server.
Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity is another well-known customer of Swiss solution provider Vision-IT running Picturepark as an asp/saas solution. This service is used amongst others by Linde Group, E.ON, Siemens, SBB railways or Rieter Textile Systems
