01-28-2008 06:00 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Grundig Business Systems

Chicago, IL, and New York, NY – Grundig Business Systems, a world-leading manufacturer of professional dictation solutions, announced today that it will be unveiling its award-winning dictation devices at LEGALTECH New York (New York City, Feb 5-7, 2008, booth 2615), showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of ergonomically designed, leading-edge dictation machines. Visitors to the event will have an opportunity to experience first hand the DigtaSonic xMic, which has received the International Forum Design’s (IF) 2008 product award. Designed to be tall and slim, the microphone enables users to keep their hand low and supported rather than having to constantly lift the device up to speak. Grundig Business Systems will also be presenting the Digta CordEx – the wireless dictation microphone which communicates with the PC via a USB receiving station.

“Grundig Business Systems has introduced some of the world’s most popular dictation devices and has a reputation for outstanding quality, design and technology. These devices and many new ones are now part of a comprehensive, one-stop product portfolio for North America. Our innovative and reliable products are carefully tailored to the requirements of US and Canadian customers, and we are excited about bringing a breath of fresh air to the North American dictation market,” said Chris Hanley, Sales Manager for Grundig Business Systems, Chicago, IL.

A step forward: launch of Digta x410

Grundig will be launching a new mobile dictation recorder at LEGALTECH. Competitively priced, it is hoped that the Digta x410 will encourage users of analog dictation devices to make the transition to the world of digital dictation.

“At Grundig Business Systems we understand that swapping a familiar device that served users well for several years for new technology can be difficult. But we want attorneys to be able to benefit quickly from digital dictation. The Digta x410 therefore builds on the familiar slide-switch to encourage more and more users of analogue dictation to make the switch to digital dictation,” said Chris Hanley.

The Digta x410 comes with a 32MB hard disk which allows for up to 5 hours of voice recording. The USB interface expands workflow options, as it allows turning the device into a PC dictation microphone. It is based on the high-end Digta x415 model, the stylish black and silver device which was also recognized by the International Forum Design in 2007 for its advanced design techniques.

LEGALTECH attendees are invited to visit Grundig Business Systems at the Hilton New York hotel, booth 2615, February 5-7.
