Stand-up comedy is non-existing in Greece which makes Manos the Greek the ONLY Greek stand up comedian. Manos immigrated to UK few years ago to study which he did by completing a MSc and PhD in plant physiology! Plants proved less exciting than anticipated so less than 2 years ago he started his comic career and never looked back. Following two Edinburgh shows with Free Fringe (Manos the Greek and The Johny Foreigner Comedy Show (on of the 100 best things to see in Edinburgh Festival' Sunday Times), he is now contesting for the prestigious HACKNEY EMPIRE New Act of the Year 2008 award.
