An e-Assessor system exclusively to meet QCF work-based competencies

As the client faced gaps in their traditional system, therefore a new web application, mobile application and Windows RT desktop application was developed to meet the client’ objectives. This all new system facilitated face-to-face communication between the assessors and apprentices.
The technology used was Microsoft.NET and Android. The concept of the entire system lies within the three major modules – Assessor, Quality Assessors and Learner. As the core objective was to streamline the entire process and provide accessibility to the system across all devices, the client has opted TatvaSoft’s android application development service to implement their business objectives and entire system functionality in a mobile app. The development of the e-Assessor system was done is a way to assess anytime and anywhere irrespective of the internet availability.
A new innovative approach of QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) was incorporated in the system. The core functionalities of the Assessor is to have a quick glance of their assessor’s training cycle and track their progress by using the detailed report. Schedule sessions and access virtual conference room to have the conference with the assessor. Manage resources according to the learning session. Plan, record and evaluate their skills for better improvement.

The Quality Assurers had got the facility to track the assessor’s profiles, documents and CPD. They can also set assessor’s risk rating which helped in tracking the high-risk assessors interviewing learners and assessors remotely. The Learners got advantage in doing their gap analysis and scan skill. They were also facilitated to take their e-portfolio copy after the successful completion of the course. Any course documents can be downloaded online, send a message to the assessors and leave their review evidence.

e-Assessor had successfully fulfilled the objective of the client and helped in managing the schedule effectively and efficiently. The client had observed a higher engagement and standards in their new system. This has left a positive effect on the learning management system which has helped both the managers and assessors to have an insight of the long journey ahead.

The platform gave the assessors and learners a great communication platform to improve their engagement levels. In particular, the system and the android app has benefited the client in offering an easily assess learning platform to visit offline quickly and easily.
