Tarantino and Eli Roth bundle up, Icelandic style
Press release from: 66 North
(openPR) - The American movie directors Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth came to Iceland on Thursday December 27th to celebrate the new year. They may have read the weather forecast for new year's eve, which happens to be rather bleak, as one of the first things they did was to go to the 66°North shop in Bankastraeti in downtown Reykjavik, and invest in some seriously warm and stylish outdoor clothes.
Tarantino and Roth know the brand well from their own experience, and have been keen on praising the wares abroad. Roth didn't wear anything else during the shooting of his horror movie Hostel 2, which was filmed in Prague in the Czech Republic where the temperatures were very cold, and Tarantino has showed up on a number of interviews wearing 66°North. Most recently, he was on the front page of the British paper The Telegraph wearing a cap emblazoned with the 66°North logo.
Among the clothes that Tarantino and Roth bought yesterday were Stormur fleece jackets and thermal socks, and Roth also got some Víkur horse riding wear, as he is a great enthusiast for the Icelandic horse.
