Access-IS LSR116 reader installed in Altro design space

Access-IS LSR116 reader installed in Altro design space

Altro, the high end commercial and industrial flooring and walling manufacturer, have enhanced their customer design kiosks with the installation of an Access-IS LSR116 barcode reader. More commonly found in rail gates, airport bag-drops and car park payment machines, the LSR116 has been elegantly mounted into the new interactive design kiosks allowing for an enriched design and buying experience.

The innovative design kiosk allows Altro product samples to be presented in any orientation, rooms & spaces designed and the ideas emailed. When offering a sample to the LSR116, the barcode is read in a split second; first time, every time.

The customer no longer has to work hard to understand what a different texture or colour might look like, just select another sample, present it in any orientation and enjoy.

The LSR116 is designed to read 2D barcodes from smartphones, tablets and paper. Its unique design with a 2D omnidirectional barcode imager ensures read reliability and high-speed performance, capturing and decoding barcodes in less than one second in any orientation.

It has a small-footprint, slot-in design to enable fast, easy integration into third-party public access kiosks and gates. Furthermore, its rugged, dust and water-resistant construction with no moving parts enable it to withstand years of indoor and outdoor public access use.

Commenting on the use of the LSR116, Daniel Davis, Digital Communications Manager at Altro said, “We wanted a product that was easy to install, simple to use and incredibly reliable; we found all of this in the LSR116.” He continued “You can drop into the Altro Showroom London to work on the design of your rooms and spaces as well as collecting samples.”
