VIEWSONIC LARGE SCREEN LCD TV`S EARN BEST-SELLER SPOT IN SOLUTION PROVIDER CHANNEL

(openPR) - Recognition Follows Company’s Global Market Share Jump in Public Displays
New Delhi, December 24, 2007 - ViewSonic ® Corporation, a leading global provider of visual display products, has once again been recognized for its market share growth and ongoing success in the LCD TV and commercial display market. Recent market research has named ViewSonic a “Channel Best-Seller” with 32 percent market share in the “greater than 30-inch” LCD TV category. A separate global study by flat panel research and consulting firm, DisplaySearch, noted ViewSonic`s jump to the number three vendor of public displays sold worldwide.
In the recently released by one of the leading market research firm, ViewSonic was recognized as the “Channel Best-Seller” with more than twice the market share of its nearest competitor. The Channel Best-Sellers list represents the top five best-selling technologies in 22 categories, as well as the leading Channel Best-Seller in each category and the Top Growth Best-Seller. They have identified the most popular technology brands and products being sold through the channel in the comprehensive survey. ViewSonic garnered the number one Channel Best-Seller ranking because of its market revenue share data from January through June 2007.
The number one market share position in the market research comes on the heels of another strong showing by ViewSonic`s commercial display offerings. The latest report discussing public displays issued by DisplaySearch found that in the second quarter of this year ViewSonic jumped to third in global shipments with 12 percent of the public display global market share—behind only Samsung and NEC.
“These results validate the confidence that our reseller partners and customers have in the ViewSonic brand, which reaches beyond desktop displays to our technology leadership and the performance of our large screen LCD products,” said Steve Woo, vice president and general manager of ViewSonic`s VTV Business Division. “We plan to broaden our portfolio of products, channels of distribution and technology innovation to continue to bolster our position in the commercial display market.”
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Gautam Ghosh, Country Manager, ViewSonic Technologies India Pvt. Ltd said “This report is a testament of the exemplary performance of the brand worldwide. It positively reinforces ViewSonic`s image of a global display expert. In India we plan to broaden our portfolio in 2008 and are working towards bringing new product lines in the near future.”
Both accolades are announced in the wake of the creation of ViewSonic`s VTV division. VTV was formed to focus specifically on LCD TVs and commercial displays, expand upon its initial success and increase growth in these categories. The VTV group will leverage ViewSonic’s heritage as a leader in the traditional LCD monitor market, as well as its supplier and distribution relationships to deliver leading technology, performance and value in the TV and public display market.
ViewSonic has multiple solutions for public displays including network appliances and software to make a complete commercial display solution for small and medium size businesses. The company is also planning to introduce a new line of LCD TV and digital signage technology in early 2008.
