Moving Image Retoucher - M.I.R. 1.3 released - Film retouching with Click & Fix
Press release from: HS-ART Digital Service GmbH
(openPR) - HS-ART announces the release of their moving image retouching tool M.I.R. 1.3 as stand-alone software for Windows and Mac. M.I.R. provides a solution for manual dust busting and quick fixes of any other issue in a professional environment.
Manual retouching of movies with thousands of images can be a time consuming and tedious task. With M.I.R. 1.3, HS-ART offers an efficient and easy to learn solution for manual retouching and quick fixes within digitized movies. For example dust spots, bad splices, tears and the like can be fixed with a few clicks.
With M.I.R. only existing information is applied to fix moving images by cloning content from other parts of the movie. The built-in retouch monocle is a useful tool to support cloning by showing target and source in zoom. Adjustable softness and elliptic brushes of any size and shape are allowing a smooth fit into the target. The auto alignment feature automatically matches the target with the source region and hence saves a lot of operator time. In order to play 2K and even higher resolutions in real-time M.I.R. uses micro-loop along with smart caching.
The software has been developed to work in a professional environment (post houses) and does support a large amount of image file formats like QuickTime, DPX, CIN, TIFF, TGA and JPG. M.I.R. is available on Windows and Mac and runs on almost any modern standard PC hardware. A demo version of M.I.R. can be downloaded from our website.
M.I.R. is free to use for anyone as player and can be used instead of expensive movie replay-tools in the professional environment.
M.I.R. 1.3 comes with many new features, such as:
• Comfortable sequence open dialog
• Selectable sub-sampling ratio
• Configurable cache size and memory allocation
• Editable LUT support
• Recovery functionality (non destructive correction)
• Split Screen, for dynamic comparison of 2 sequences
• Video output on DVS Pronto and Clipster
• Improved performance and speed
