TS-109 Pro honored Selection Product 2007
QNAP TS-109 series was released in July 2007. This series adopts high performance hardware design, and supports up to 1TB internal SATA hard drive. The total storage capacity can be expanded to 2TB with an external eSATA or USB drive. With the unique fanless design and aluminum alloy case, the noiseless TS-109 is ideal for operation in digital home environment. Moreover, the power consumption rate of TS-109 is less than 14.4W under normal operation. This energy-saving design enables the server to run 24x7 non stop.
TS-109 Pro supports 12-in-1 functions including NFS, built-in phpMyAdmin and MySQL / SQLite support for the Web Server, encrypted FTP server, encrypted remote replication, printer server, Windows AD service, PC-less BT download, iTunes server, and DLNA media streaming with PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, and Nokia N95 etc. The embedded system enables users to install numerous Linux-based open source applications to further enrich the use of their NAS. Moreover, QNAP has recently announced the official forum where there is an increasing number of members and abundant discussion of their experience with QNAP NAS. Users can also share and acquire the information of installing and using open source applications on NAS freely on the forum.
