Romeo Mitchell named International Correspondent for PMForum in Canada

(openPR) - Online project management media and publishing entity PMForum adds correspondent in Toronto area to provide representation in Canada and in Ontario Province

Dallas, Texas — PMForum, Inc announced today that Mr. Romeo Mitchell has become an International Correspondent for the Company in Canada. PMForum has established a global network of international correspondents to provide project management-related news and information from around the world and to provide the company with local representation. PMForum operates www.pmforum.org, the world’s first website devoted to professional project management, and produces the popular monthly online e-Journal PM World Today.

According to PMForum managing editor David Pells, “Romeo Mitchell is a very experienced project manager and professional leader in Southern Ontario. He has extensive experience and credentials related to managing IT projects for HP, as well as an engineering background. He previously served as a PMI chapter president, so he is also well connected in the Canadian project management professional arena. We are honored to have him join our global correspondents’ team.”

Romeo Mitchell, PMP, is a Senior Program Manager with Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co., with over 15 years’ experience managing information technology (IT) projects and programs. He has an extensive background in all aspects of IT Project Management, including the management of single or multiple projects within a program or portfolio. He has delivered complex leading-edge projects and programs on-time, on-budget, with quality deliverables in complex distributed computing environments involving multiple solution providers. He has successfully led and completed assignments involving complex recovery and turnaround programs. His experience spans several industries including Telecoms, Manufacturing, Banking and Retail Sectors of industry.

Mr. Mitchell has been an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and was President of the Southern Ontario PMI Chapter in the late 90’s. Romeo is also a part-time senior instructor in the Humber Project Management Center at Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. He has published and presented papers at both national and international levels. Romeo holds a Master of Science Degree in Project Management from Henley Management College, Brunel University, England; Graduate certificate in Operations Management and Operations Research Techniques, Industrial Society of Great Britain; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantity Surveying (cost engineering) from the University of Westminster, England. Romero received his PMP® certification from PMI in 1994.

Other International Correspondents for PMForum have been announced recently in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Jordan, Nigeria, Peru, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and in the UAE, UK and USA.
