e-con Systems announces 2D bar code capture functionality in e-CAM

Chennai, November 27th’ 2007 - Adding an extra feature to e-CAM – Plug and Play camera solution, e-con Systems today announced the availability of 2D bar code capture functionality using e-CAM. Customers can capture 2D bar code using e-CAM and the software application can decode the barcode for getting the desired information.
Designed to meet a wide variety of business needs across a variety of industries, e-CAM helps companies to incorporate camera functionality in the older designs based on PXA270 as well as for new product development. With increase use of 2D bar codes in retail, healthcare, government, manufacturing, it becomes more and more important for OEM to have an all in one solution, where single Camera unit functions as a Barcode (1D & 2D) scanner and the image Capture unit.
