WHAT: On Thursday, March 17th, 2016 The Beehive will present its 9th annual St. Patrick’s Day festivities from 5:00PM – 2:00AM. St. Patrick’s Day at The Beehive means an evening of authentic entertainment including a live performance from Galway Native Katie McD, Irish-inspired drinks from the evening’s sponsor, West Cork Distillers, à la carte food specials from Executive Chef Gregory Torrech and an evening that only The Beehive can create.

While there will be plenty of surprises, this will not be your typical Irish fest—so no green beer! Instead The Beehive’s St. Patrick’s Day is a sophisticated evening of amazing Irish comfort food and authentic, world-class entertainment for a mature audience. In addition to serving the regular menu Chef Gregory Torrech is adding an Irish flair to his menu, with Irish-American à la carte specials including: Grilled Lamb and Colcannon Mashed Potatoes and Finnan Haddie Smoked Fish & Chips. Along with The Beehive’s regular libations, both the upstairs and downstairs bar will serve specials featuring spirits from West Cork Distillers, all night long.

The food will be complimented by a live performance from Katie McD, a Galway Native who represents a new wave of Irish artist who remains true to their roots yet explore the reaches of Irish creativity. Katie McD brings infectious sound, passionate vocalizations and thought-provoking lyrics to the stage. Since studying at Berklee College of Music, she has established herself as part of the Boston music scene. Katie McD has performed at Symphony Hall, The United Nations Consulate Ball, and the Guinness Fleadh. She lends a distinctive contemporary Celtic flavor to the music on her debut album, "I Know You Know.” She sings with an emotional passion and vibrancy in true troubadour style, and while doing so weaves a wonderful tale.
