IVR Technology Group Announce Merger With Phonologies

02-26-2016 03:33 PM CET | Media & Telecommunications

Press release from: IVR Technology Group

IVR Technology Group, a secure voice and text application service provider, is proud to announce its recent merger with Phonologies, a global provider of contact center technologies and cloud based voice platforms. The merger will allow the companies to build a stronger professional services offering to serve the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Additionally, the robust Phonologies’ CCXML and VXML platform that powers over 20 million calls worldwide per day will become a core offering for IVR Technology Group.

“There is significant room in the marketplace for VXML compliant on-premise and hosted solutions that are significantly more cost effective than incumbent offerings today,” commented Mike Byrne, CEO of IVR Technology Group.

The agreement to merge with Phonologies follows IVR Technology Group’s acquisition of 800 Adept and Adeptel in 2015.

“We believe that with the Phonologies merger, we are building tools and services that allow companies to deliver great customer experiences. And it doesn’t have to break the bank,” stated Akash Desai, President of IVR Technology Group. “We are excited that IVR Technology Group continues to execute on its growth strategy and enhance its position in the telecommunications industry.”

Phonologies VXML IVR Server and CCXML Call switching software are based on telecom industry standards for deploying IVR and call routing apps. By integrating these into IVR Technology Group’s core platform, Phonologies opens themselves up to a new market. Phonologies also brings significant experience of cross-porting VXML apps from different vendors.

“With the merger, we strategically now have a direct sales and support presence in the US which is a primary consideration for any enterprise customer. On the other hand both companies have components that fill in each other’s gap,” said Prashant Lamba, CEO of Phonologies. “This paved the way for us to merge (business / technically). IVR Technology Group’s solutions will be the core platform and Phonologies components will be added onto those over the next 4-6 months.”

IVR Technology Group and Phonologies are looking to accomplish the following:

- Grow VXML and CCXML, both of which are still the dominant technology requirements in the enterprise business with over 95% IVR ports being VXML enabled.

- Serve the growing Asian, African, and South American markets with economics that work well in those regions.
