(openPR) - As an independent artist I am very thankful for the existence of myspace, and I think that every other indie artist, no matter what genre you are, can agree with me on this one. Because of myspace I am able to reach out to thousands of people and fans per day. If it wasn't for myspace, a lot of small town people like myself would be non-existent, but because of myspace thousands of small town indie artist like myself have a chance to be in control of their own destiny, sale tons of records, ringtones, and compete with artists from atlanta, new york, L.A., houston, chicago, miami, and philly. No longer do indie artist have to have that big budget, live in a big city, or take an expensive trip across seas just to gain international exposure. Because of myspace, every big city, and country on this continent is now just a click away. Before myspace came upon me, breaking into the music industry seemed impossible because I didn't know where I needed to go to promote and build my fanbase. With myspace I now see that I can have a future in the music business, and that getting a record deal finally seems realistic. Just like every hot small town indie artist that have no outlets, we now have a place for friends and fans that we can build relationships and share our music with. So with that said, myspace, i just want to know that i thank god for your creation!
