The operator had recently upgraded its existing Tango Telecom Short Message Service Centre with the latest release of iAX™ SMS in anticipation of an SMS explosion over this year’s Lebaran period. iAX SMS has provided the operator with increased messaging capacity and has enabled the handling of SMS traffic in excess of 200 million SMS in a single day during this year’s Lebaran celebrations. On average, this was an increase of 100% on SMS traffic figures for the same time last year. This latest upgrade has provided the operator with the class leading messaging platform to meet the growing demand for SMS messaging among mobile phone subscribers in Indonesia.
