64-in-One in One HU

Press release from: Knürr AG
PR Agency: Martin T.W. Hochleiter GmbH
Arnstorf [05 Nov. 2007] – Knürr, Europe’s leading manufacturer of TFT drawers for 19” racks presents its new TDK64 model this autumn, and a revised TFT drawer with 17” display (SXGA,12080x1024), keyboard and mouse will consequently be available immediately. Up to 64 devices (PS/2, USB, Sun computers and serial devices) can now be controlled directly with the integrated KVM Switch.

The new TDK64 system always consists of at least two components - the Administrator Console with KVM Switch, and the interface modules.
With an installation height of just 1 HU and an installation depth of 550 mm, the Administrator Console is a space-saver in all standard 19” racks. Up to 64 servers can be easily administered via a user-friendly and password-protected onscreen menu – no problem!

The computer interface modules are connected with trade standard network cables (Cat.5E UTP) to the respective computers. The individual components are interconnected with a space-saving daisy chain, which simplifies installation and later extensions, as this system can be expanded at any point.
In the cabling with a maximum total cable length of 213 meters (700 feet), the first module is connected with the console, and all others are connected with one another. The system can therefore be continuously extended by one port at any one time, whereby the various server technologies can be combined with one another.

There are modules for PS/2, USB or Sun computers. The integrated emulation technology guarantees the computers’ safe and secure operation, even if there is a fault in the connection cable to the console.
