Press release from: Model Engineering Solutions GmbH

Berlin, 07 October 2015: Model Engineering Solutions GmbH (MES) has added an Assessment Analyzer to its proven MTest testing tool. This interactive, graphical addition to the MTest Assessment Framework makes it easy to visualize selected test sequences and inspect them thoroughly – making systematic and fully-automated model and software testing a considerably easier task.

Assessment Analyzer extends established MTest Assessment Framework

MES developed the Assessment Framework as an integral part of MTest to fulfill the strong demand for automated requirements coverage and test results evaluation. Highly automated test evaluation now makes it possible to test hundreds of requirements simultaneously. This approach proves much more effective than only verifying requirements through targeted test cases. The direct result is a considerably higher test coverage and more reliable detection of software errors.

The Assessment Analyzer is a consistent, logical extension to the Assessment Framework. Its interactive, graphical user interface allows you to follow and inspect preselected signals. This gives the user complete control over the test-relevant timeframe, making it easy to determine when test cases fail at particular events or times – and what the possible causes might be.

The use of MTest in practice

MTest is used by leading manufacturers and suppliers to the automotive industry for safeguarding their software models, especially for safety-critical systems such as electronic brakes and active steering. MTest is based on Simulink and is optimized for the series use of TargetLink® and Embedded Coder®.

Introduction to webinar: ISO 26262-compliant testing with MTest 3.2

Requirements-based testing is the most important instrument in software testing – and the ISO 26262 safety norm concurs. But how to best carry out requirements-based testing in line with this standard and how to implement the norms that relate to software testing in practice? Our MES expert webinar gives an introduction to this topic and shows how these requirements are best implemented in practice using the MES Test Manager (MTest, Version 3.2). There will be an opportunity for questions following the webinar. The webinar will be held in English on two dates: 24.11.2015 at 16.00-17.00 CET and on 25.11.2015 at 10.00-11.00 CET.
