(openPR) - Many small form factor (SFF) models benefit from higher FSB frequency
Shuttle Inc, SFF PC market leader and manufacturer of multi form factor solutions, has officially approved a higher Front Side Bus clock frequency for some of its current range of products. The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD30G2, SG31G2 and SG31G5 are now, without alteration to the BIOS version, enabled with a higher FSB frequency.
The Shuttle XPC SD30G2 (available in silver and black) can now be fitted with numerous 1066 MHz FSB compatible Intel processors (previously only up to 800 MHz FSB).
Technical details: Intel 945GC + ICH7 chip set, supports Intel Core 2 CPUs with FSB 1066, max. 2 GB DDR2-667, 1x PCI-E X16, 1x PCI, 2x SATA2, 8-channel Audio, 6x USB, 2x FireWire, Gigabit LAN, DX9 compatible Intel GMA 950 graphics, 250W power supply, only 30 x 20 x 18.5 cm (LWH).
The Shuttle XPC Barebones SG31G2 (sporting the classic G2 design) and the SG31G5 (like the SG31G2, but with the pure looks of the G5) are now compatible with Intel Core 2 processors with 1333 MHz Front Side Bus (up to now, only a maximum of FSB 1066).
Technical details: Intel G31 Express + ICH7 chip set, supports Intel Core 2 CPUs with FSB 1333, max. 4 GB DDR2-800, 1x PCI-E X16, 1x PCI, 3x SATA2, 8-channel Audio, 6x USB, 2x FireWire, Gigabit LAN, DX9 compatible Intel GMA 3100 Dual-Graphics (DVI + VGA), 250W PSU, only 30/31 x 20 x 18.5 cm (LWH).
