Mathidle Heather awarded ‘Level II National Student of The Year Award 2007’

Reflections Training Academy is extremely proud to announce Mathilde Heather as the Level II UK Hairdressing Student of The Year sponsored by L’Oreal and City & Guilds at event held at the Salon International Exhibition in London ExCel.
Each year the Hairdressing Council holds this prestigious competition where the award is given to the learner who proves to do over and above for the hairdressing industry. Mathilde Heather is one of the only hairdressers in the whole of the UK who has been awarded with this enviable accreditation! The Hairdressing Council received over 200 entries and only selected 12 finalists. These 12 finalists consisted of Level II and Level NVQ III hairdressing apprentices’ who were spilt into two categories. These students were judged by a panel of experts at the L’Oreal International Centre in Hammersmith. All students were interviewed and marked on their practical efforts. The results were announced at Salon International in London ExCel. Paul Johnson; Senior Manager and Sarah Kendall Head of Hairdressing from Reflections Training Academy Bristol helped support two learners into the final.
Level II learner Mathilde Heather aged 18 from North Hairdressing in Bath
Level III learner Chantelle Clark aged 20 from Reflections salon in Yate, Bristol. This is a starting point for all young talented hairdressers in the British Hairdressing industry. Reflections Training Academy wishes all the best to both Chantelle Clark and winner Mathilde Heather who worked extremely hard to deliver high quality hairdressing and styling.

The Senior Director of Training Ms Caroline Spencer and the Divisional Director of Training Ms Lucy Agnew in Birmingham along with a Senior Manager in both Birmingham and Bristol are responsible for the management and provision of training Reflections provide work based learning programmes for young people aged 14-16 & 16-24 in hairdressing. Training is provided in Birmingham and Bristol Training Academies and at employer’s premises in Birmingham, Solihull, Bristol and Gloucester.
