Haar, April 16, 2015 – As per May 1st, 2015, Softing Industrial Automation adopts a service oriented model for its OPC UA .NET Development Toolkits.
Softing's new offering combines a free license for the use of the OPC UA .NET Development Toolkits with a 3-year maintenance and support agreement which supersedes the previous fee-based license acquisition. The new model will come into force as per May 1st, 2015 and offers free-of-charge upgrades to new toolkit versions as well as premium support by Softing specialists. Users have the advantage of a reduced initial investment and lower total cost of ownership for the use of OPC UA technology. At the same time, they benefit from Softing’s long-standing technical expertise. Softing’s OPC Development Toolkits allow the rapid integration of OPC Classic and OPC UA in automation applications. A comprehensive collection of libraries is part of the scope of delivery and enables fast time-to-market for programs with OPC functionality. The collection includes a comfortable, clearly documented programming interface, associated sample applications and test- and simulation tools.
