(openPR) - The co-location data center industry is currently experiencing a tremendous growth, and the suppliers are having trouble keeping up with the demand. This means that new data centers are constantly opened, old ones are filled up and it can be hard for companies to find suitable facilities matching their needs.

A new ambitious service called Data Center Map is indexing co-location data centers from all over the world, with the intention of making it easier for companies to find suitable facilities, as well as making it easier for data centers to get in tough with their target group.

More than just an index
Unlike earlier attempts of indexing data centers, Data Center Map distinguishes it self by allowing companies to browse data center locations by navigating a user friendly map based on Google Maps. In addition, it is of course also possible to browse the traditional text based index or use the built-in search engine.

Data Center Map has indexed co-location data centers in more than 500 different properties from more than 30 countries all over the world prior to its launch – covering key markets in USA, Europe, Australia and Asia as well as smaller markets in countries such as South Africa and Central America.

Professional advice
Data Center Map has also partnered up with industry professionals to offer free advice without obligation to companies in need of co-location. The service is aimed at companies who do not have the required market insight or experience to pick a facility based on a map or an index, and therefore would be interested in an impartial recommendation.
