Hotel Majestic Barcelona has been voted Spain’s Leading Hotel and Spain’s Leading Suite at the 2007 World Travel Europe’s Ceremony in Newcastle.

The star-studded event, fittingly held at Newcastle Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel on October 9, was attended by more than 350 executives from the travel industry and high-profile media.

Established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the enormous achievements found in all sectors of the global travel industry, through the last thirteen years dedicated travel professionals and their clients have come to regard the World Travel Awards as the best endorsement that any travel product can receive.

As the “Travel industry’s equivalent to the Oscar’s” the World Travel Awards is the most comprehensive, the biggest and the most prestigious awards program in the global travel industry.

With thousands of votes cast by travel professionals from 167,000 travel agencies, tour & transport companies and tourism organisations in over 160 countries across the globe, winning a World Travel Award has become one of the highest accolades a travel product or organisation can achieve.

The two World Travel Awards cap off an exciting year for Hotel Majestic Barcelona, opening a new rooftop spa in the next months. This multi-award winning Barcelona city hotel, with its coveted Passeig de Gracia address, is also currently celebrating its 90th anniversary.
