(arvato Systems) Cologne/Gütersloh – Constantly changing user behavior is a major challenge for marketers, publishers, agencies, rights holders – and many others. Advertising budgets are tending to flow towards online channels, but full cross-media business models are frequently immature. On January 29th 2015 IT experts arvato Systems will use the BITKOM NewTV Summit to talk about the new challenges for media content, processes and IT and at the same time will provide a clear outline of the success factors for dealing with these challenging issues.

The extent of change in media usage in this country is demonstrated particularly by video consumption. Three out of four German internet users already use video streaming services. More and more content is available on more and more devices at any time. The increase in digital video consumption both live and on demand, in conjunction with the multi-screen experience, clearly show how the industry is changing.

National and international industry participants will exchange ideas, review consequences and develop strategies to manage these developments at the BITKOM NewTV Summit in Berlin on January 29 2015.

For example: Advertising budgets are increasingly oriented toward the various online video channels, by-passing the traditional TV market. The quantity of free online services raises the question of monetization. Marketers, publishers, agencies, brand owners, rights owners and network operators face a challenging time. What are the opportunities and where are the obstacles? What is the significance of cross-media and multi-channel offerings and how do they affect the operational processes within a media enterprise?

Concrete answers will be forthcoming from Christian Schneider, VP Corporate Sales, arvato Systems S4M GmbH in his presentation “Building bridges. Content monetization beyond linear boundaries: five real-life success factors”. In response to the question of to what extent changing user behavior shapes the needs of media organizations, especially in terms of operational business processes and IT systems, he provides a case study. In this, he takes a look at the five important themes of rights and licenses, media asset management, advertising sales, customer experience management, and media analysis. He highlights the new requirements for content providers, and also shows how these can be met using intelligent processes and solutions.

Providing the most up-to-date information on Media and TV in the streaming era, the BITKOM Congress is open for registration via the official event website.
