S P Jain Global launches 12-month post-graduate program Global Family Managed Business

S P Jain School of Global Management (S P Jain), one of Asia’s top-ranked global business schools, is pleased to announce the launch of a new postgraduate Global Family Managed Business (Global FMB) that will commence in November 2014.
Key highlights of the program:

Compact design: Participants of this intensive 12-month-long program will attend classes at S P Jain for one week per month. This will be followed by three weeks of practical learning at their own organisations. Assignments given during this period will require students to implement classroom learning within the specific context of their organisations.

Technology-driven classrooms: S P Jain makes use of a blended learning model that includes online learning via multimedia material, simulations, classroom discussions and practical assignments. Use of technology in the classroom results in a real-world learning environment that sharpens decision-making skills and brings students face-to-face with challenges that businessmen encounter in the boardroom.

Global learning model: The academic duration of the Global FMB program also includes one-week-long lessons in Dubai and Singapore. This is an important part of learning; this international exposure allows students to gain a fresh perspective of global businesses, interact with international business houses and learn global strategies that can be implemented within the context of their own organisations.

Local context: International learning in Dubai and Singapore will be complemented with ten one-week-long tutorials at the S P Jain campus in Mumbai, India. These local contacts expose students to the realities of doing business in India and allow them to apply and validate learning in a local business scenario.

World-class faculty: Professor Parimal Merchant will lead the program. As one of India’s most sought after authorities in family managed business, Professor Merchant’s rich experience comprises advisory roles for over 3000 family businesses in India. Leading experts in family business management will join Professor Merchant in delivering the course material.
