(openPR) - West Palm Beach, FL – (i1connect News) – October 2, 2007 – The tide of America is turning. What was once a race dominated by big bank accounts, big names, and high spending, has now shifted to a race led by principle.

A look at the current field of third party candidates yields only one candidate that truly believes in Christian socially conservative principles.

That candidate is Daniel Imperato, a man of principle.

Daniel Imperato has stood up to defend Christians in America and defend their rights to worship, praise, and raise their children in a socially conservative environment.

Also, Imperato has been meeting with many members of the faith based community including Pastor Chuck Smith, Bishop Charles E. Blake, as well as many faith based associations.

Imperato has also spoken at several Hispanic and Evangelical Churches across the country. He has also spoken at several rally including a major rally held in 2005 at Miami’s Bayfront Park fighting for Gush Katif and the rights of Israelis.

Recently, he was interviewed by Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) out of Miami. He has also been interviewed by much of the Hispanic press including Que Pasa Bulletin, Los Tiempos, Washington Hispanic, and was recently featured on Univision’s website.

The Hispanic community has supported Imperato because he identifies personally with them. The Christian community looks to do the same because as one of his supporters put it, “he doesn’t pretend to be a Christian Conservative; he is a Real Deal Christian.”

Last Sunday a group of leading Christian social conservatives met regarding the 2008 Presidential race.

They considered their current “conservative” candidates in Rudy Giuliani, and Mitt Romney, both of which have a history of pro-abortion and pro-Gay Marriage stances.
So the group, led by James Dobson, who founded Focus on the Family; Tony Perkins, who heads the Family Research Council; former GOP candidate Gary Bauer; and outspoken activist Richard Viguerie, all members of an organization called the Council for National Policy, agreed on a resolution: If the Republican Party nominates a "pro-abortion" candidate, the group will consider running a third-party candidate.
Giuliani has drawn much angst from strong Christian social Conservatives such as Dobson.
In June, he said: "I cannot, and will not, vote for Rudy Giuliani in 2008. It is an irrevocable decision. If given a Hobson's – Dobson's? – choice between him and Sens. Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, I will either cast my ballot for an also-ran – or if worse comes to worst – not vote in a presidential election for the first time in my adult life. My conscience and my moral convictions will allow me to do nothing else."
With such strong emotions, conservatives feel that it is time to support someone that will embody their values and principles.

Daniel Imperato has been mentioned for the past two years as a viable candidate for Christian Conservative voters in America, who don’t want to vote for the principles of people like Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani.

When asked about the possibility of running against Giuliani as a third party candidate, Imperato said, “I would be more than happy to stand at the debate podium next to Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton. I believe that America needs a viable choice for the presidency. We need someone who can represent strong American Christian Conservative values.”

Some have viewed a potential third party candidacy as a way to take away votes from Rudy Giuliani, and give the presidency to Hillary Clinton.

“I believe that there is about 100 million people in this country that do not vote. Those people do not see the reason to, and they have not candidate that they can really believe in. I want to represent those people who feel that the ‘polished-ticians’ like Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton, are only in it for themselves, and not the hearts of the American people. I am here to represent the people and make sure that all Americans are able to vote. With about 40 million new voters I feel that my candidacy is not a spoiler, it is the way for America to go to show the Democrats and Republicans that the American people demand change.”

Back in June, Imperato caused several waves in the third party community by describing gay marriages in churches as an “abomination”.

In addition, he spoke up for the use of “In God We Trust” and the display of the Ten Commandments in state houses.

In that June 2007 interview, Imperato stated, "The fact of the matter is that, the Ten Commandments only promotes good and not evil. We should not be wasting taxpayer money to remove these items, or to protest these items. Displaying the Ten Commandments, or printing "In God We Trust" on money, does not cause anyone any harm," stated Imperato.

Imperato is a "man of faith", who was “baptized in the Holy Spirit” by Pastor Benny Hinn, when asked about his Christian denomination. He was raised a Catholic, but has embraced the evangelical Christian community, as well as the Messianic Judaic community. He studies the Torah and has been personally endorsed by several rabbis including Rabbi Moshe Koniuchowsky and Rabbi Eddie Chumney, showing his Jewish support and support for Israel.

Imperato is also Papal Knight with Honors from Pope John Paul II and the Vatican. He is the Grand Prior of Orden Bonaria, and a chaplain for the Latin/African American Chaplain’s Association based in New York City.

At the conclusion of the interview, Imperato stated, “I’m glad that Americans are looking at principles. These candidates like Clinton, Obama, Romney, and Giuliani are built on good looks and pocketbooks. When you dig into the substance of these candidates, you will find that there is very little. It’s time that Christian Conservatives, and America at large, stand up for the principles that this country was founded on. As president, I will do my best to defend those principles. Thank you very much. God Bless America.”
