(openPR) - SEOUL, KOREA (September 27, 2007) - Seoul Semiconductor (KOSDAQ: 046890), one of the ten largest LED manufacturers in the world, announced today that it will supply SureFire, Fountain Valley, California, a designer and manufacturer of compact, high-performance illumination tools in the USA with its LED products.SureFire began incorporating Seoul Semiconductor’s LED technology into its SureFire 2.5 W this month.
In addition to its convenient compact size and light weight, SureFire’s 2.5W flashlight, to which Seoul Semiconductor’s Z-power LED P4 series will be applied, features high output, high durability and an extended runtime. Perfect for everything from backpacking to military use, the flashlight also includes functions such as a precision reflector, momentary-on, constant-on, and a switch lockout preventing accidental activation.
Surefire is the world best manufacturer of the high-quality noble flashlight, which provides a wide range of flashlights, from weapon-mounted tactical lights to the leisure flashlights. It is the biggest supplier of flashlights to the law enforcement and military fields in the USA and widely used by the special operations forces, police officers, and fire officers in the world. Their lights are often seen in American TV shows and movies, such as the television show CSI. Also, they are conducting a significant role for war on terror. It was awarded by national geographic as 'Best of Adventure 2006' and by photon forum as “Best Flashlight 2005”.

The Z-power LED P4 series also boasts the industry’s highest brightness of 240 lumens at 1 Ampere. It also features the industry’s highest luminous efficacy (100 lm/W @ 350 mA at the maximum) with only a single die, making it a brighter and more cost-effective light source when compared to conventional 70 lm/W fluorescent and 15 lm/W incandescent lighting options.
