Mark Lanier Honored As One of Texas’ Top Ten Attorneys
HOUSTON – Houston trial lawyer Mark Lanier, founder of The Lanier Law Firm, has earned a spot among the Top 10 attorneys in Texas, as determined in a statewide survey published in the October issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazines.The Top 10 ranking is in addition to Mr. Lanier’s inclusion on the annual Texas Super Lawyers list. Mr. Lanier has appeared on the prestigious list each year it has been published, beginning in 2003.
To compile the Texas Super Lawyers list, more than 70,000 lawyers from across the state were asked to nominate attorneys they viewed as the best of the legal profession. The judging process continued with rigorous screening by a blue-ribbon panel of lawyers and confirmation handled by a group of researchers from Law & Politics Media, publishers of Texas Super Lawyers magazine.
The final Texas Super Lawyers list is made up of fewer than five percent of all Texas attorneys, and Mr. Lanier earned his spot among the Top 10 list based on his overall point score from the judging process.
The Top 10 ranking is just the latest in an impressive line of honors for Mr. Lanier. In both 1998 and 2006, he was named one of the nation's Top 10 Trial Attorneys in The National Law Journal, which also chose him as one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America in 2006. He also was featured in the 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
