semgine GmbH - Quadriga Capital GmbH commissions pilot project

Berlin – September, 28th 2007 - Quadriga Capital GmbH has commissioned Berlin software company semgine GmbH with the pilot phase of the smeTracker project. The smeTracker will enable Quadriga Capital GmbH to view and track company information on the Internet more closely and more quickly than before.

Frankfurt equity funds and financing specialist Quadriga Capital Services GmbH advises Quadriga Capital Fund III on the acquisition of small to medium-sized enterprises. The holding company focuses on resolving succession arrangements, hiving off companies within groups, financing growth strategies and supporting new strategic directions.

The smeTracker (SME = small and medium enterprises) will be structured as a web service based on semgine® technology and will enable Quadriga Capital GmbH to find, analyse and monitor automatically unstructured information from the Internet about specific companies in a targeted, convenient manner.

semgine GmbH has specialized in semantic knowledge technologies and developed semgine® as the basic technology for semantic information assistants. semgine® is based on a new kind of neurobionic approach and is the first semantic research solution to transfer the principles of cognitive neuroscience to information processing.

"We hope to gain an important competitive advantage from this smart solution”, explains Christoph Weise, a partner in Quadriga Capital GmbH. "The smeTracker will help us to analyse companies quicker and better and to keep an eye on their development."
