DETROIT, USA (September 25, 2007) — Time Inc., the largest magazine publisher in the U.S., recently rolled out WoodWing’s Smart Connection Enterprise system to produce, among other titles, FORTUNE, Money, People, Sports Illustrated and TIME Magazine.

“Time Inc. is the best in the world at what they do, and we believe their standards are the highest in the industry,” said Brian Kruger, CEO of WoodWing USA, an expert in corporate workflow efficiency.

Meeting the needs of a diverse company
Kruger explained that Time Inc.’s diverse needs required the power and versatility provided by Smart Connection Enterprise. “They gave us a challenge,” Kruger said. “They needed a system that was flexible and powerful enough to meet the needs of diverse and very large magazines.”

“The leadership of WoodWing is driven to meet the needs of their customers. We asked them to add features and functions to meet our constantly changing needs and they have, to date, responded with intense focus and professionalism,” said Mitchell A. Klaif, Senior Vice President of Time Inc. Information Technology.

WoodWing’s international reach continues to grow
With Time Inc. now using Smart Connection Enterprise, there are literally hundreds of millions of people around the world reading magazines that were assembled using WoodWing’s technology.

“Now that Time Inc. is using WoodWing that number has jumped even more dramatically,” Kruger said, noting that each month, one out of every two American adults reads a Time Inc. magazine. “Quite simply, WoodWing has become an editorial system for the largest publishers in the world.”

“I’ve been reading Time Inc.’s magazines all my life,” he said. “Now, when I see someone pick up a copy of TIME or FORTUNE or Sports Illustrated, I’ll know that WoodWing helped put that magazine in their hands. That makes me feel extremely proud.”
