New Image for The Romanian National Customs Authority by Cratima and XcellenceIT
Press release from: Cratima
Bucharest, Romania, 25th of September, 2007. Cratima and XcellenceIT announces with great pleasure a new web site release: customs.ro. The project was achieved for the Romanian National Customs Authority (A.N.V.) and was published online on 27th of August, 2007.
The web site succeeded to attract over 65.000 visitors after only three weeks from it's launching, an impressive number and a first success for the entire team of Cratima and for one of the capital institutions of the state. This tremendous start demonstrates that the prime objective of the project, building a professional European web site for a state institution inside European Union, was accomplished.
The state institutions' web sites are well-known to have a negative image in the eyes of common Internet users and taxpayers, due to bad navigation and inadequate presentation of information of public interest. In order to improve this image, the team of Cratima approached this project with an attractive design and with a functionality that helps the visitor to immediately reach the desired information. For this approach Cratima used the latest web technologies available.
The new web site comprises information regarding A.N.V. legislative library, implementation of national and European custom regulations and custom authority's responsibilities. Information regarding the rights and obligations of travelers passing the E.U.' border, can also be found in the web site. There is a Public Information section that comprises information about new job opportunities at A.N.V., public acquisition agenda, activity reports etc. At the same time, a section for press releases was developed.
Due to the large volume of information of public interest that can be found in this web site and due to its continuous updating (Eg. Legislative changes, fees changes), the A.N.V. staff that is responsible for the administration of the information published in this web site, has at its disposal a tool that facilitates this complex process of continuous updating of content (CMS – Content Management System). An administrator (editor-in-chief) that validates which information should be deleted/added at a given time is named for every section of the web site. Also, for every section there are many editors, editor-in-chief subordinates, that are responsible with publishing new information and/or marking the one already existing and no longer actual. The administrator is the one that approves or denies the changes made by the editors.
A very important impulse for the improvement of state institutions' image is Romania's Integration in the European Union, and due to the very fast development of Internet services, an improvement of the online image of Romanian National Customs Authority was the right choice. Cratima team perfectly intuited this very important aspects and objectives and accomplished www.customs.ro web site, a future model for all the web sites of the public institutions in Romania.
The Romanian National Customs Authority web site is dedicated, in particular, for companies that develop commercial activities abroad.

Comments about openPR
OpenPR ist the nicest and most clearly laid out PR platform I have seen to this day. The press releases are displayed very nicely and clearly and without any unnecessary frills.
The updates are fast and the finished release looks appealing and is clearly legible.
Even with 16 years of experience one discovers new things from time to time.
Congratulations!
