International calls now included in mobile’s price plan

Media & Telecommunications
Press release from: WiFiMobile
(openPR) - London UK September 25th 2007 - Leading telecoms provider WiFiMobile today launched a new service which effectively offers users unlimited international calls included in their mobile phone price plan.

Customers who sign up at the company’s website are offered local Call Through Numbers in their own country which can be used to call landlines (and mobile phones in certain countries) in over 40 countries.

So how does it work? The Call Through Numbers are standard local landline numbers which are included in any bundled minutes a user may have in their GSM price plan. Should they wish to call internationally, a call is made to their local Call Through Number. They will then be asked to dial the destination international number and connection is instant. The total call duration is included in local bundled minutes, with WiFiMobile picking up the international leg charges.

The service has initially been launched in twelve countries, the UK, US, France, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Spain, Germany, Australia and Malaysia with more to follow.

In addition anyone travelling to any of the twelve listed countries are able to pick up a local SIM card and call back home for the cost of a local call avoiding expensive roaming rates.

The company state that this service is fully compatible with any mobile phone and that there is no need for any Wi-Fi access or 3G data plan. Calls can be made where the user has normal GSM coverage and it is not a Call Back service.

The service is priced at £7.99, €11.99 or $15.99 with no long term monthly commitment and a 14 day free trial is available at the company’s website. There is no need for any software installation or handset configuration.
