Mindfire Solutions successfully conducted DDM IT Quiz 2014

Bhubaneswar, March 09, 2014: Mindfire Solutions organized a National Level Mega IT Quiz named Debasish Das Memorial IT Quiz (DDM IT Quiz) here in Bhubaneswar today at Hotel Pal Heights. Started in the year 2011, this was the 4th edition of the quizzing event. The quiz was held for students pursuing Technical and Management education across India. DDM IT Quiz provides an excellent platform for quizzing enthusiasts to participate and compete with some of the sharpest minds in their community.

The whole theme of DDM IT Quiz is based on Information Technology and is named after Late Debasish Das who was an employee with Mindfire Solutions. Unfortunately, he lost his life in a fatal road accident before his idea was realized. This quiz is a tribute to him.

This edition of DDM IT Quiz saw around 300 teams participating from various Engineering and Management colleges from states like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Delhi battling out for supremacy. Finally, it was KIIT University’s Omkar Amrutanshu & Loy Larvin Rao who emerged as the winners with, Chinmaya Dehury & Sheikh Wasim Sajjad from NIT, Rourkela and Saransh Mohapatra & Jyoti Prakash Panda from Silicon Institute of Technology bagging the 1st and 2nd runners-up positions respectively. Winners were awarded trophies, certificates and cash prizes of RS. 50,000/-, RS. 30,000/- and RS. 20,000/- for first, second and third positions respectively. Apart from this, a lot of audience prizes like iPod’s, t-shirts, pen-drives, backpacks, watches etc. were also given.
