Playfully buying an awning by app

Anyone wanting to buy an awning can now put their product individually together online using, for example, the Augmented Reality App by markilux. This app helps you see exactly what the solar protection system will look like when installed before you make your purchase.

Using the App is child's play
Each awning model can be configured individually via the app's user-friendly navigation system. It is also possible to ask for a price quotation, search for a specialist dealer to get advice and arrange installation, as well as save the choice of product in a customer account and share it with others. The selected awning models and fabric patterns can be marked as favourites and tried out live using the tool.

Simulation on the wall of an actual house
This entails projecting a simulation in the app's "Outdoor mode" onto the pre-selected wall of a house or, alternatively, onto an invisible digital wall. The position of the awning can be selected at will to achieve this. The same applies to the width, the fabric pattern or the frame colour. If you wish, you can add a remote control, lighting, heaters or an additional blind that protects against low-lying sun to the configuration. The finished product can then be viewed from all sides and the cover extended or retracted. It's even possible to look underneath the awning. And a photo of the setting can be taken and saved to the customer account using a configuration ID. By way of this identification number, the view is also made available on the markilux website in the awning configurator.

Viewing on a virtual model of a house
The App offers an "Indoor Mode" as well. The awning appears on a 3D model of a house that is projected onto a selected flat surface, such as a table. In this mode, you can view the setting all round, zoom in on the product or even rotate the house. It is also possible to integrate a setting that has already been saved and this simulation method is then also linked to the desktop configurator. This tool, which is available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, allows you to experiment playfully until the right awning model has been found.
