Technology company C4L accredited as an Investors in People

C4L the IT infrastructure company based in Poole, has successfully achieved the Investors in People Standard for the way they develop, support and motivate their team. Putting its people first has enabled C4L to gain a nationally recognised accreditation.
The Investors in People framework, which is suitable for organisations of any size and in any sector, helps transform business performance through its people, helping companies to achieve their objectives by targeting specific priorities within the organisation.
Laura Swann, HR Manager of C4L, which has nearly sixty employees, said: “To receive this accreditation is a public recognition of C4L’s staff culture. Our ethos is that we hire experts and recognise internal excellence through development programs and reward schemes. Each staff member is both a customer champion and an industry expert, without them C4L would not have the success and prestige it has today”
“This accreditation has come about as a result of developing our most important assets, our people, and jointly implementing strategies to improve the performance of C4L. We recognise that IIP is part of the UK’s Commission’s ambition to improve skills, employment and productivity across the UK and as such we are very keen to deliver our contribution.”
Organisations that have achieved Investors in People Standard generally have lower staff turnover and sickness rates, lower recruitment costs and a reduced likelihood of litigation. In addition, they tend to have increased levels of profitability, employee engagement and productivity.
John Telfer, Managing Director of Investors in People South, said: “C4L should be congratulated for the way in which management and staff have come together to produce real results. I hope other organisations in the industry will look to them as a great example of what can be achieved.”
