Fanless box PC for space-critical applications

The independent German distributor acceed introduces a new box PC series in postcard format. The POC-100 series presents itself as ideally suited for space-critical applications in industrial surroundings, in building automation or in security applications.

The fanless POC-100 series box computers are equipped with the Atom-D525 processor, an ICH8-M chipset and the Intel GMA 3150 graphics processor. They have an integrated working memory of 2 GB.
The dimensions of the very compact housing are only 149 × 105 × 44 mm. This small size enables, for example, the installation of the POC-100 together with a GigE camera in weather-protected housing for security applications. Including a 2.5“ HDD hard disk, the POC-100 only weighs close to 1000 grammes. A mounting angle is included in the delivery, top hat rail mounting is also possible.

Two gigabit Ethernet connections, one (VGA) video connection and two USB connections are located on the front panel of the POC-100. Two COM connections, one further USB connection and an audio output can be accessed from the back panel. A mini PCIe connection with a USIM slot for wireless communication in the mobile communications network and an LVDS interface for the direct connection of matching LCDs can be found within the housing on the PCB.

In its standard version, the POC-100 can be operated at an ambient temperature of -20° C to +60° C. A special POC-100 series model enables its operation within an extended temperature range of -30° C to +70° C. Its flexible supply voltage from 8 to 25 VDC extends its range of use in stationary and mobile applications.
