(openPR) - DALLAS/HOUSTON/AUSTIN – A total of 48 partners from the Dallas, Houston and Austin offices of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP have earned selection to the 2007 Texas Super Lawyers list.
Gardere has placed more than 45 attorneys on the list in each of the five years the list has been compiled by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media Inc. With their selection to the 2007 list, 30 of the firm’s attorneys are now five-time honorees. Additionally, four attorneys are first-time selections.
“To have such a high percentage of our partners not only to be selected for this honor, but also to have been named to every edition is indicative of the type of attorney that we have at Gardere,” says Stephen D. Good, Gardere Managing Partner. “As with everyone who made the list, they are leaders in their fields and in our firm.”
Texas Super Lawyer selections are based on peer nominations made by more than 70,000 attorneys from across the state, with the final selections made by a panel of lawyers chosen by the Texas Super Lawyers editors. Fewer than 5 percent of the attorneys nominated were chosen for this honor. The list appears in the October 2007 issue of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media, Inc.
Earlier this year, 12 Gardere attorneys were chosen to appear on the Texas Rising Star list, a companion to the Super Lawyers list. Rising Stars selections are based on nominations by members of the Texas Super Lawyers list. Rising Stars are the top up-and-coming Texas attorneys who are 40 or younger or have been in practice for fewer than 10 years.
