MTV Oy implements solutions from arvato Systems to optimize its media sales processes

(arvato Systems) Cologne/Gütersloh, Germany – MTV Oy is Finland’s largest commercial broadcaster, playing a central role in the media market of Northern Europe for decades. Well-established and forward thinking, the company has commenced broadcasting on a variety of modern media channels. It has now opted for solutions from arvato Systems in order to optimize IT technology in the Media Sales department.

The commercial TV broadcaster MTV Oy has operated successfully in the Finnish market since 1957. Today it is the country’s largest commercial TV network and has achieved a reputation as a major player in Northern Europe, thanks to its innovative use of new media and distribution channels. MTV Oy operates pay TV and radio stations, websites, online TV services, and several free TV channels.

As the company earns revenue from airing commercials and has a forward-thinking strategy, its underlying business models also require cutting-edge solutions that react flexibly to the ever-increasing demands of the advertising market. “The growing number of distribution channels in an increasingly competitive advertising market mean that media sales processes have to be planned and managed extremely effectively,” says Petri Haverinen, Development Manager of MTV Media, who is responsible for the extensive and rigorous selection process.

The broadcaster’s strategy demanded effective long-term solutions, and the applications provided by arvato Systems met these needs. All business processes for marketing the MTV Oy portfolio on a national and regional level will be mapped by the airtime sales software, S4AdSales. S4AdOpt, arvato Systems’ integrated software for optimizing inventory and revenue, also provides system support. These components use a variety of parameter settings to enable simulations of ‘what-if’ scenarios.
