Virtual conference set by long term care insurance association

An extensive program focused on the marketing and selling of long term care insurance and hybrid long term care solutions has been set for the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance's 2014 national conference.

"In addition to the several hundred who will be attending the actual event, we expect several thousand insurance agents and financial advisors will be viewing sessions broadcast live from the LTC Summit," announced Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI). Selected sessions broadcast online by Virtual Insurance Conferences & Expos can be viewed free of charge.

According to AALTCI, the National Long Term Care Solutions Sales Summit is the largest national gathering of professionals who market and sell long term care insurance protection products. The conference takes place May 18-20, 2014 at the Westin Hotel in Kansas City.

"The past two years have seen enormous changes across the long term care insurance world," Slome explains. "The conference serves as the single best way to keep current and more importantly see what's working today for those agents who successfully sell and market these products." The Association is the first to offer the virtual conference aspect providing free access that enables anyone to view speakers live from their home or office and to interact via Twitter.

According to Slome, the session expected to attract the largest online viewership will be the LTC CEO Forum where the heads of five long term care insurers explore the present and future state of the industry. "This is a unique opportunity to hear from top industry CEOs who are successfully navigating a changing and challenging market," Slome shared.

The five CEO panel participants are:
Michael Doughty, President, John Hancock Insurance
Michael Hamilton, Vice President, Lincoln Financial Group
Tim Kneeland, President, Transamerica Long Term Care
Scott McKay, Senior VP, Genworth Financial
Steve Sperka, President, Northwestern Long Term Care Insurance Company
