(openPR) - Cork, Ireland, 5th September 2007 – Cubic Telecom, the innovative international telecommunications operator, today announced the appointment of Sean O’Mahony as Chief Commercial Officer. Sean will be located at Cubic’s North American base in Vancouver, Canada, and will oversee all global commercial operations.
A veteran of many successful startup companies over the last 10 years, Sean O'Mahony moves to Cubic after a successful period leading the mobile development team for the Silicon Valley startup, JAJAH, and was previously CEO of Excilan in Luxembourg. He was the founder and CEO of FatPort (Canada’s largest WiFi hotspot operator), Bitmovers and BOPJET. Sean is also an experienced public speaker, having participated in and moderated many telecommunications conferences.
He joins Cubic at an exciting juncture, just ahead of the launch of the Company’s new portfolio of products and services that are aimed at drastically reducing international mobile roaming and call charges.
