Press release from: POOL4TOOL AG

Vienna | Haid, October 15, 2013 – POOL4TOOL responds to the increasing demand for EDI connections to the supply base portal. The solution provider has founded the subsidiary “POOL4TOOL EDI powered by GDP”, in order to efficiently connect as many suppliers as possible in the future. Together with Global Digital Post (GDP), POOL4TOOL is planning additional support measures for businesses.

POOL4TOOL, a solutions provider for purchasing optimization, is working together with Global Digital Post (GDP), the experts on electronic data interchange. The strategic decision for the joint venture arose after demand for EDI connections (Electronic Data Interchange) began to increase. “More and more customers, and their suppliers, are using our portal. More than 200,000 transactions are executed via our SRM portal every day. In order to provide an efficient collaboration platform, as well as WebEDI and EDI, we decided to add professional assets to our team,” explains Thomas Dieringer, the CEO of POOL4TOOL. GDP will continue to grow thanks to the joint venture. “We can benefit from the global presence that our partners have, and we look forward to successful cooperation with POOL4TOOL,” says Harald Jasser, General Manager of GDP GmbH.

A single solution despite different formats

Efficient data exchange is essential in order to facilitate smooth communication between business partners. Transactions involving large volumes of data and different data formats can slow down business processes considerably. The service offered by POOL4TOOL and GDP provides all business partners, particularly those in small and mid-sized businesses, with a simple option for automatically exchanging data between different computer systems. Information such as purchase orders, order confirmations, advanced delivery notes, or invoices can be sent and received, regardless of their format. Suppliers who do not have EDI capabilities can also be connected via EDI. “By working together with GDP, we are now able support our suppliers who are unable to use current transfer methods. The fast and cost-effective implementation of a simple application solution benefits small and mid-sized businesses in particular,” says Thomas Dieringer, the CEO of POOL4TOOL. Additionally, all of POOL4TOOL’s other services will be offered by POOL4TOOL EDI powered by GDP for suppliers specifically. The service packages include additional modules that will optimize processes and further measures to support business and sales.
