(openPR) - The ship identification system AIS (Automatic Identification System), which is a global standard since 2004, is now coming to the German coast. The tender of the Wasser- und Schifffahrtsamt Wilhelmshaven is open until October 16th. All together 30 reception points will be built along the German coast. The received ship data as for example course, speed and possibly freight will be broadcast from each reception point to the 3 data centers in Wilhelmshaven, Travemünde and Brunsbüttel. The successful bidder is expected to acquire the hardware and to customize or program the software. Bidders with experience in installing AIS systems are preferred. The tender specifications can be obtained at a price of 170 Euros. Other European IT-tenders can be found on www.ratiotrans.com with an short description of the project in English translation.
Through an innovative approach to translation translation costs and turnaround time can be cut by 50% compared with traditional approaches.
In traditional translation some software help is usually applied to support the translator and the workflow of the agency, but the translation itself is still considered as a single creative process taking place somewhere in the mind of the translator. At Ratiotrans.com translation is approached in a similar way Henry Ford and Ludwig Roselius approached the production of cars and coffee (Kaffee Hag) making them more affordable for everybody.
Higher productivity resulting in lower prices at a high level of quality is achieved because of the intelligent combination of existing technology and tools.
The founder of ratiotrans.com combines an affinity for foreign languages and passion for perfect and effective organization. Hape or Hans-Peter Etzold commands 7 languages and used to work as a project manager. The project he is most proud of involved moving a pharmaceutical factory in Poland.
It is his mission to connect people and overcoming barriers by providing more cost-effective and productive translation solutions. Etzold is Stuttgart (Germany)-based and has translated on behalf of the following clients: European Commission, Boing, EADS, RENFE, Fortis, General Motors.
