Wibu-Systems continues to expand its presence in China
Press release from: WIBU-SYSTEMS AG
(openPR) - Market success in China: New bigger office with additional employees
In the middle of July, Wibu-Systems AG, a leading German manufacturer of hardware based protection solutions for software, documents, access control and media, moved their subsidiary, Wibu-Systems (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. to new offices located in Shanghai’s Yangpu district, close to Fudan and Tongji Universities, both known for their academic excellence. The new office has more than triple the space of the former facility and will allow for consolidating sales, support, and operations and provide larger inventories for “just-in-time” deliveries. The increasing demand for sophisticated software protection solutions to meet the needs of both Chinese companies and International companies with offices in China was one of the reasons Wibu-Systems needed to expand. Another reason was the desire to provide a powerful center of anti-piracy excellence.
Oliver Winzenried, C.E.O. of Wibu-Systems AG, explained, "In addition to the high quality of our security solutions, our customers also rely on us for competent consultation regarding the complex nature of the different protection concepts. That is why qualified employees are an important part of our growth policy. Another element of our expansion strategy is to locate close to colleges and universities. Not only do we have a resource that can help us understand local requirements and restrictions, but we also have a ready pool of well qualified potential employees. Therefore, the location of our new office is perfect and it provides us with plenty of space for additional personnel and inventory."
"Shanghai is one of the biggest economic centers in China, as well as an important technology site for IT", explained Hailiang Li, General Manager of Wibu-Systems (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. "For this reason many national and International companies are often located in Shanghai. The protection of intellectual property as well as license management of software and other digital content are important requirements for many of these companies. We now have on staff an employee who will concentrate all his efforts in meeting these important requirements.” Hado Brockmeyer, appointed as Senior Sales Director in July, says enthusiastically: "I’m very pleased about the new opportunities I have already experienced because of my conversations with International companies and in becoming part of a team recognized as a leader in the exiting software protection market."
