Kirkel, August 2013. “myintercom One“ is worldwide the first door station that is specifically developed to support the communication via iPhone, iPad and Android devices: It does not matter if a house owner stays on the couch, in the garden or abroad. In any case, he will receive a notification on his smartphone immediately if a visitor uses the door bell. Only the push of the ring button is necessary to see the visitor, to communicate and to open the door. It allows the house owner to ask the postman to put the parcel on the terrace after opening the gateway or to let his daughter, who has forgotten her key again, into the house while he is on the way. The included visitor history informs about the last 20 visitors together with a picture and time of the visit.
The IP-Video door station “myintercom One“ has proofed its functionality and quality, during a successful pilot phase with selected customers based in 12 countries. The product was released in July 2013 for the worldwide distribution. The door station has already been awarded during its pilot phase with a multitude of national and international innovation prizes.
The door station is produced in Germany and is available in four different color models and is covered by a highly valuable, water resistant metal box. Furthermore it possesses a HDTV camera module with a LED lighting circle, a ring button and a first-class microphone and speaker, to guarantee a brilliant outdoor communication. Data and switch signals will be transferred in an encrypted mode. In order to maximize the freedom of installation, the door station is available as rear machine section to integrate it in post box constructions as well as in surface-mounted and flush variations.
One or more commercially available smartphones or tablets can be used as so called „indoor station“. A free of charge mobile phone App, which works via WLAN, 3G and 4G supports iPhone, iPad, iPad mini as well as Android smartphones and tablets. Also an integration of other systems like e.g. Home-Automation-Panels can be done without any difficulties.
After the pilot phase, “myintercom One“ already has developed a satisfied customer base around the world, from Denmark over Croatia and South Africa to the USA, where door stations are used amongst others in small one family houses, ranches, mansions, office blocks and hotel resorts.
The myintercom products and an included installation service are available in specialist shops. Home handymen can also receive the products through Conrad Electronics from now (June 2013) online under www.conrad.com.
At last in June 2013, myintercom was awarded in the category „best product“ from the SmartHome Initiative Deutschland (SmartHome Initiative Germany) under patronage of the German minister for Traffic, Infrastructure and Urban Development.
