Gepard GPR, a portable ground penetrating radar manufactured by OKM GmbH from Germany

Altenburg, 17th June 2013 - The new portable "Gepard GPR" ground penetrating radar developed and produced by the German company OKM GmbH is just another milestone in the success story of the manufacturer of metal detectors and geophysical instruments. The ground radar's range of application involves finding buried artifacts of gold and silver as well as ancient coin treasures and other underground objects like pipelines, cavities, conduits and cable harnesses. The electromagnetic signals can penetrate up to 40 meters (130 feet) into the ground to detect possible enclosures, disturbances and other kind of anomalies. For a further data analysis all the recorded measurements are displayed in a graphical 3d representation on a Tablet PC.

The goal of this new ground radar is to enter new markets and support customers in the fields of archeology, treasure hunting and ground examination with productive and innovative technology. Due to the development of new technologies and excellent measuring equipment there are new opportunities in detecting hidden treasures, artifacts and enclosures within the underground.
