James Simpson SafetyCulture CTO

SafetyCulture is a technology platform which gives workers a voice, leaders visibility and unites teams to improve. In short, the company is here to help working teams get better everyday. Back in 2004, it was just a small team working out of a garage in regional Australia.

The first business solution were safety documents such as the Job Safety Analysis (JSA), but as technology reshaped how the world interacted, founder Luke Anear was quick to pivot and meet customers where they were. And so, iAuditor was born, the first iteration of a digital platform that revolutionized safety inspections globally. It's now the world's largest checklist app-and that's just the beginning.

While the concept at its heart is the checklist, iAuditor has become a very intuitive checklist where users can embed business logic and rules, among other easy-to-use functionalities.

It's actually much more than a checklist when managers deploy it within a business, having applications well outside of workplace safety-everything from hospitals, where best practices should be reinforced for upholding health standards, and restaurants, where routine tasks should be done in a specific way at a set frequency for complying with hygiene requirements, to manufacturing, mining, and a variety of other industries.

That's what led to the rapid growth of the company. It's initially a simple idea brought to be applicable in a lot of different industries.
