Supervision and maintenance of traffic telematics infrastructure

Supervision and maintenance of traffic telematics infrastructure

Berlin, 23 May 2013 – PSI Production GmbH, a subsidiary of PSI AG, will be presenting their successful telematics operation management system PSItraffic at the Intertraffic from 29-31 May 2013 (Hall 10 / Stand K1) in Istanbul. The PSI software is responsible for the efficient control of operational and maintenance processes for telematics infrastructures.

The uses of telematics equipment and the legal implication that via such systems the traffic laws has to be enforced, the installed telematics infrastructure need a proper monitoring and maintenance. Besides this also operational aspects, related to new possibilities of traffic management like dynamic lane management, require a secure operation. PSItraffic enable the road operator’s to do their tasks.

PSItraffic contributes to reduce maintenance costs and at the same time improves the quality of service due to higher availability of telematics devices. The solution strongly supports the compliance to national and international traffic guidelines. This is achieved by increasing the availability of the infrastructure’s components due to condition based adjustments of maintenance and the reduction of repair and response times in case of downtimes.

The use of PSItraffic results in transparent maintenance processes and in generating a good database for investment decisions inclusive updated and realistic requirements for such investments. Taking this into account the investment pays for itself within a very short time.

PSItraffic is successfully in operation since 2008 at ASFINAG and is constantly supplemented by need-based and innovative development stages.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,600 people worldwide. www.psi.de
