QTronic at Design of Experiments in Engine Development (DoE

Chip simulation is a new technology that allows to execute native engine controller code on a PC. Together with industrial partners, QTronic will present at the DoE international conference applications of this technology to the optimization of engine parameters - DoE 2013: 18 & 19 June 2013 in Berlin, Germany.

QTronic, a leading supplier of simulation-based tools for automotive software development, has recently completed the development of a new technology that allows to simulate native ECU controller code on PC. At the forthcoming international DoE conference QTronic and engineers from Daimler AG will jointly present how this new technology can be applied to improve and speed-up the process of optimization of engine parameters. The presentation will be done at the 7th International DoE Conference in Berlin on June 19th, 2013 at 9:00 AM. More details about this conference:

QTronic is also participating at the DoE 2013 exhibition where it will demonstrate the latest versions of its innovative tools Silver and TestWeaver:

Silver is a tool used to move control development tasks from real cars, test rigs and HILs to Windows PC. Silver provides an environment to quickly port control software (C Code or native HEX code) from real ECUs to Windows and to run the resulting virtual ECU in closed-loop with a simulated vehicle on PC. Silver supports automotive standards for communication as well as ECU measurement and calibration. Silver is in use for control development at Mercedes-Benz, BMW, AMG, IAV, Continental and others.

TestWeaver (testing without test scripts) is a tool that autonomously searches for weak points and bugs in control software and calibration data. Users have to supply a simulation model, for instance, using MATLAB®/Simulink, Silver or HiL, and to specify computable quality indicators. TestWeaver constructs automatically driving scenarios that minimize these indicators. This helps to find bugs early and with much less effort than otherwise possible. TestWeaver provides support for several analysis tasks recommended by the ISO 26262. TestWeaver is in use for software development at Mercedes-Benz, AMG, Toyota, Bosch, SAIC, ZF and others.

About QTronic GmbH

QTronic provides engineering software, services and consulting for model-based development. Our outstanding software tools are used by developers at Mercedes, AMG, BMW, Toyota, Honda, SAIC, Bosch, ZF, IAV, Continental and others. Silver and TestWeaver support highly automated validation and test of virtual ECUs on Windows PCs. This helps to identify design problems much earlier and faster with much lower costs than ever possible. For additional information, visit www.qtronic.de

Chemical Synthesis Supported by Design of Experiments (DoE)
Peptide Synthesis is naturally subject to a wide range of influences, such as reaction temperature, solvent, catalyst, as well as concentrations of the substrate and reagent. As a result, the target output variables such as the product composition, purity, yield or stereospecificity may vary in wide range. Rather than adopting a trial and error approach, whereby each parameter is examined on an individual basis and interactions between these parameters cannot be
Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Associations Criticize DOE Program Cuts
