08-14-2007 08:12 PM CET | Business, Economy, Finances, Banking & Insurance

Press release from: RFID Tribe

RFID Tribe's Montreal chapter holds its first meeting on September 5, 2007 at 6:00 pm.

Harold Beck, Montreal chapter leader, will kickoff the chapter's first meeting. The meeting is patterned after meetings in RFID Tribe's other chapters where RFID professionals make connections, hear presentations, eat a meal together and collaborate.

At the meeting, RFID Tribe members and guests will...

- Learn about taking advantage of RFID Tribe tools and forums.

- Connect with RFID professionals, find partners and customers, collaborate with RFID experts around the world.

- Hear a case study - The Impact of RFID on SAQ Processes. The SAQ (Quebec's government owned liquor board) has studied the impact of RFID on its operational processes. During the conference, Jean-François Thériault, Principal Director of Logistics and Transportation, will share what they have learned from a multi-year study and Proof of Concept as well as their plans for the technology integration in their processes.

- Network with RFID professionals in the Montreal area, eat dinner and form relationships with those in the RFID industry.

The RFID Tribe Montreal chapter meeting will take place in a live RFID-enabled warehouse. Meeting participants will see how a fully functional and complete RFID supply chain system operates starting from a "print and apply" solution on an integrated conveyor, to the dock doors, portals, storage area and finally a RFID-enabled truck.

Meeting presentations will be in French. The event is bilingual (French and English).
