Unicon Software launches Thin Client operating system: eLux™ RP

Germany, Karlsruhe, 05 April 2013 – Unicon Software GmbH as a hardware independent specialist for Cloud- and Thin Client computing solutions enlarges its software portfolio with eLux™ RP. eLux™ RP is the latest operating system of Unicon Software and is specifically designed to support different x86 hardware platforms. eLux™ RP is perfectly suitable for the use in server-based environments. With the launch of eLux™ RP Unicon Software provides further functional enhancements and performance improvements of the already established operating system eLux™ RL. Self-evident the full support of latest hardware platforms from
Unicon’s OEM partners such as Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo and Samsung is guaranteed.

Innovative key feature of eLux™ RP is the newly designed “eLux™ Modern User Interface”, which allows a more comfortable and intuitive user guidance. The user benefits from an intuitive and easy to use desktop design, which can be personalized with the aid of the eLux™ App selector. The eLux™ App selector provides the efficient opportunity to place favorite applications arbitrarily onto the desktop. Hence, an effective workflow is given and time-consuming looking for particular applications is no longer essential. Beyond that eLux™ RP assures optimized graphics performance and an improved network access via WLAN. Of course the support of the latest USB 3 peripheral devices is perfectly granted – thanks to the latest kernel version.
